The Monoski Test Tour will be making a stop in Praz-sur-Arly on 13 and 14 February during the Praz Freestyle Days and in partnership with the French Monoski Federation. It’s a great opportunity to discover, or rediscover, this fun ski sport, a cross between skiing and snowboarding! Come along and ask your questions and - why not? - try it out!
For a whole weekend in February, representatives of all the different snow sports will gather at the foot of the Praz-sur-Arly slopes. On the programme: free testing of freestyle and freeride skis, snowboards, monoskis, sqwals, snowscoots and yooners. And there’ll also be lots of fun activities and demos over the two days.
The Pays du Mont-Blanc is launching its Web TV: montblanc.tv. The channel is being officially launched live on 2 February at 18.30 at the Planards (Chamonix) slalom run of the men’s World Junior Alpine Ski Championships 2010, which are currently taking place in the Pays du Mont-Blanc from 30 January to 6 February.
The World Junior Alpine Ski Championships take place every year in a different country and continent. The competitions last a week and include a downhill, slalom, giant slalom and a Super G for men and women. The competitors are aged between 15 and 20.
In spite of his injury last autumn, our athlete is already back in top form having won in only the space of a week the title of Vice Champion of France in the team event and a fourth place in an individual World Cup competition.
