The holidays are almost upon us and the first important event of the summer season will take place this weekend with the get-together of Haute-Savoie folklore groups, parades and dancing in the centre of the village on Sunday, 5 July, as of 11 o’clock. Do come along and join in the fun!

Annual get-together of folklore groups

On Sunday, 5 July, Praz-sur-Arly will be welcoming the annual get-together of Haute-Savoie folklore groups (about 250 dancers). This will be a day dedicated to our Savoyard traditions, with parades and dances in colourful costumes in the centre of the village. Do come along!

Outsider Art Festival

Outsider art enthusiasts take note: from 9 to 19 July the Praz-les-Arts Association is organizing a festival of this special form of art in the village. There will be lots of entertaining activities and exhibitions to visit (raku firing, sculpture workshops, concert, etc.). See you then.

Pays du Mont-Blanc Baroque Music Festival

This year, Praz-sur-Arly is welcoming one of the concerts of the “Pays du Mont-Blanc Baroque Music Festival”. It will take place on Friday, 10 July, at 21.00 in the Saint Marie-Madeleine church and entry is free of charge. The concert is entitled “a stroll on the paths of baroque music”.

A fun summer season ahead!

The summer season is almost open us. Here is a round-up of the main events in our resort in Summer 2009. The season will be placed under the sign of sports, relaxation and music for a holiday full of happy memories in the heart of the Pays du Mont-Blanc. We look forward to seeing you soon!

What to do and see in Praz this spring

There are lots of springtime activities in Praz-sur-Arly and the surrounding Pays du Mont-Blanc - entertainment too! From markets to hot air balloon or paragliding initiation flights, as well as tennis, there’s something for everyone in Praz-sur-Arly. Enjoy your stay!

Opening of the Crêt du Midi Chairlift

The Crêt du Midi chairlift will open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Tuesday 7 July to Thursday 27 August. In just a few minutes a magnificent panorama of the Mont Blanc range opens up before you offering a vast choice of lovely hikes for all age groups.
