The summer version of our famous “Smugglers’ Trail”, organized by the Praz Montagme Club, has been cancelled due to the bad weather forecast, announcing a sharp drop in temperatures, heavy rain and a risk of storms for the weekend.

The Praz-sur-Arly folk group “Lou Gapians du Pratz” look forward to seeing you at their dinner dance on Saturday, 14 August, at 20.00. It will take place in the tent on the Varins parking lot at the foot of the slopes. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Eric Collomb orchestra.

There will be lots of entertainment this coming week. On Tuesday there will be a free karaoke evening in the church square; at 21.00 on Wednesday evening, a trial bike demonstration also in the church square. Thursday evening at 18.00, a children’s show with Manolete at the Maison de la Montagne. Finally, on Friday evening at 20.30 we have a play, “Les Meufs”.

The modules are in a wooded area near the Belles petanque ground. It was a totally wild plot of land before it was cleared in July by the Champs et Cimes company. This has completely transformed the area where a new pedestrian pathway will also be created.

We have many exciting new features for this second edition of our Medieval Festival. Praz-sur-Arly will turn itself into a medieval village for two days this weekend. The Festivals Committee, along with 75 volunteers, is ready to welcome you (free admission). For this second edition, the area devoted to the event has doubled, with over 120 participants: extras, blacksmiths, soldiers, knights, monks, musicians ….

This summer the Praz-sur-Arly Tourist Office will be selling the Megève Pass, which gives you unlimited access for 7 days to numerous cultural and sporting activities for all the family… And there are also reductions on the activities proposed in Praz-sur-Arly. Tennis, Crêt du Midi chairlift, climbing wall…

The Crêt du Midi chairlift will open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Tuesday 6 July to Thursday 26 August 2010. In just a few minutes a magnificent panorama of the Mont Blanc range opens up before you offering a vast choice of lovely hikes for all age groups, either on foot or on mountain bikes. New this year: the Espace Diamant on mountain bike!!

At the beginning of the Christmas holidays, our resort will be opening a mini daycare centre for families on vacation. A team of professionals directed by a state-qualified nurse will look after your child, taking into account his or her own special needs.
