In Octo Vocal Ensemble Concert: Sunday 5 July 2026 at 5 pm St Jean-Baptiste Church, Les Houches The In Octo vocal ensemble delighted us last year during two concerts in Chamonix with the Geneva Chamber Choir “Studio Choral” and the Camerata du Mont-Blanc for Joseph Haydn’s Harmoniemesse, and again with the Camerata du Mont-Blanc for Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and J.S. Bach’s Cantata BWV 196. They return this year as an a cappella ensemble to the Church of Saint Jean-Baptiste in Les Houches for a programme ranging from Renaissance to contemporary music, via Baroque, jazz and pop. Founded in July 2022 on the model of the Camerata du Mont-Blanc, whose style it emulates—much like vocal groups such as the Swingle Singers or, currently, Voces 8—the vocal ensemble In Octo brings together talented singers who rigorously explore a vast repertoire. The programme for this concert features works by composers such as William Byrd, Gregorio Allegri, Heinrich Schütz, Georg Friedrich Händel, Joseph Rheinberger, Duke Ellington, Leonard Bernstein, Astor Piazzolla, Neal Hefti, Arvo Pärt, Paul Simon, Kevin Allen, Claire Roff and Ola Gleilo… Admission to this concert is free – donations welcome at the exit – However, booking is recommended by contacting the association (by 12 noon on the day of the concert) via email or text message using the contact details below, providing the following details for each participant: Surname, First name, email address and mobile phone number.
