December 1924, Arcueil, south of Paris. Erik Satie, a well-known pianist and composer with an unusual and whimsical personality, has been suffering from persistent stomach pains for several months in his small apartment, which he calls his "closet". On the advice of his friend Cocteau, he sees Dr. Duvernay, who, among other facets of his personality, turns out to be the doctor of the "celebrities of the day".
