Supported by irresistible melodies, the lyrics, both intimate and politically charged, speak to each of us. There's a touch of Gaël Faye in the writing, a hint of Ben Mazué in the flow, and a hint of Lavilliers in the timbre... Clearly pointing out the absurdities of the world, ALKABAYA doesn't just denounce: the four members invite us to find a little poetry in the chaos, to lift our heads and let go in order to stay together, no matter what, in the face of adversity. Driven by a solid guitar-keyboard-drums section, melodic instruments enrich the whole with a luminous musicality. Over the years, each album by the group has hit the mark and resonated deeply, demonstrating a cohesion that continually enriches the collective's musical and human project.
