Guided tour of the Plateau d'Assy church for children (schools, holiday centres, etc.)

Each visit is unique and adapted to the age of the children and the teachers' class projects. Tools have been created by art historians, heritage guides and teachers. They enable teaching teams to choose the workshops and visit methods. On the Pays du Mont Blanc inspectorate website, you'll find documents to help you prepare your class. The code giving access to all the documents will be provided by the heritage guides after confirmation of the tour booking at the Tourist Office. Works by Bonnard, Chagall, Léger, Lipchitz, Lurçat, Matisse and Rouault have been the subject of various educational proposals for nursery and elementary school pupils. For older students, the workshops are complemented by a photocopiable booklet to help with the visit. If a teacher chooses to work on other works, the guides can contribute their expertise to the class project in advance of the visit. During a group session, the guide presents the site to the students and accompanying adults. The students are then divided into groups according to the chosen organization. The workshops will have been prepared by the guide. Supervisors ensure that students are equipped with pencils and writing or drawing materials. Groups rotate through the various workshops. The guide ensures that the workshops run smoothly, and contributes his or her knowledge. At the end of the visit, the groups come together to assess their work and draw up a brief summary, which can then be used in class.
