How was Draz born?
Draz is a gentle dragon, born from the imagination of the Pralins and the contraction of dragon and Praz.
Draz, is the main character in the comic strip "Le secret de la Pierre des Ceutrons", volume 2 of the adventures of Louis and Quentin.
This comic strip is inspired by the founding legend of the prestigious commune of Megève. The legend tells of a dragon that terrorized the Haut Val d'Arly in the Middle Ages. No one wanted to live there any more, and the area was deserted until two men came up with a clever idea to slay the beast. Their names were Grosset and Muffat, two well-known names in Megève.
"Le secret de la Pierre des Ceutrons" tells the story of the dragon's "return", evoking the original legend as well as other information on the history of our region.
What does Draz do?
Draz likes to try out all the activities on the mountain and introduce them to his children: skiing first of all, he was the first dragon to learn to ski at the Praz-sur-Arly ski school's snow garden!
Draz loves hiking! He knows all 15 hikes from Praz by heart! He's already got the 3 hiking stars corresponding to 3 successful hikes: les Epines blanches, le lac des Evettes and Ban Rouge.
Draz also takes part in numerous events:
Draz's Carnival: every Tuesday during the February school vacations.
Draz's challenges at the mini-golf d'art singulier
He is also present at Santa Claus' arrival, the resort's 80th anniversary, the "Course du Conseil", torchlight descents and the resort's major events.

Draz's fame doesn't stop there: two sculptures created by artist Gérard BOGO are now dedicated to him on the banks of our lake, near the site of the famous legend of the Dragon de Tirecorde.
