In the 1920s and 1930s, the first skiers appeared in Praz-sur-Arly, and it was during the 1938–39 season that the first ski lift—the “Combe Noire”—was born from the imagination of the locals! Ten years later, the first T-bar lift was installed, and the first ski camps were held in 1950…

Springboards, turns or whoops, will you rise to the challenge? Away from the more traditional slopes, Waouland is a fun skicross area for thrill-seekers. But you don't have to be a champion to enjoy the trails: the Waoulands are accessible to all levels.
Your challenge? Hit the slopes on a course dotted with natural obstacles, springboards, banked turns and whoops, and have fun outdoing yourselves with family and friends.

Opoualand, the play trail for children aged 6 to 12
Enter the magical world of Opoual, the "not at all abominable" Yeti! Forbidden for adults not accompanied by a child!
The Opoualand world is a fun and educational space entirely dedicated to children. The trail is dotted with attractions and opportunities to discover all the mysteries of the mountains while having fun. The echo of the mountains, the snowdrop and safety on the slopes will no longer hold any secrets for little skiers.
Located in the Notre-Dame de Bellecombe and Praz sur Arly ski areas, the OPOUALAND universe is a fun and educational space entirely dedicated to children. The slope is dotted with attractions (slalom with banked turns, gantries, games of skill, etc.), and opportunities to discover all the mysteries of the mountain while having fun! And thanks to the OPOUALAND webcam, the whole family can watch your child's skiing prowess!
