Family activities in Summer

Discover a fabulous new swimming area in Praz sur Arly, facing the Mont Charvin… an exceptional site for a refreshing summer break! A swimming lake supervised by lifeguards with free access for all, isn’t that just heaven? A lake created with two different swimming areas to satisfy all your desires!

ZONE 1: A supervised public swimming area with a surface area larger than an Olympic-size swimming pool! Graduated depths from 0.30cm to 2.50m to satisfy both young and older swimmers… fantastic!

ZONE 2: AND IN ADDITION! An area reserved for water sports activities, where you can enjoy our giant Aquaparc and paddles for hire. A large public beach beside the swimming area, ideal for sunbathing between swims! Life is great at Praz Lac Aventures!

Access to the swimming lake: The main access to the swimming lake is from the Belles Leisure Park via a footbridge over the Arly River.

Thanks to a footpath created right around the lake, accessible to people with reduced mobility from Les Belles or the Cassioz road, users will be able to reach the beach and the reception building in which sanitary facilities, a lifeguard’s room, a storage room, a snack bar and a reception office are planned. They will also be able to reach the Accrobranch tree climbing course on the banks of the Arly.

Summer entertainment

In the summer our resort organizes workshops for all the family, as well as “nature and the environment” discovery outings. Astronomy evenings and initiation to fishing are also organized every week.

Examples of summer activities:

Monday:  Make-up workshop.

Tuesday: Outdoor children’s show.

Wednesday: “Discover the fauna” nature outing.

Thursday: Football tournament.

Friday: “Musical cooking” workshop.

The Belles Leisure Park

A lovely playground awaits you at the Belles Leisure Park. Fun and games for all the family!

Access: The playground is situated at the exit of the village, direction Megève, on the right of the Rafforts roundabout.

Outsider art Mini-golf: Behind the Belles Bar Club House and the climbing wall, you’ll find a landscaped 18-hole mini-golf. It’s a lovely shady area and a part of it is in the forest!

Play areas: Slide, zipline, roundabouts, bouncy spring games, sand pit… there’s something for all ages! Free access.

Skate-park: A skate-park is available free of charge beside the playground. Its different modules are a challenge for the young.

Family hikes

It’s not always easy to motivate children to walk, nor to find a suitably adapted place to walk. Praz-sur-Arly therefore created two easy itineraries of not more than an hour and 40 minutes’ duration. Each itinerary is dotted with fun educational panels to discover the nature around you. You’ll maybe see marmots and discover the names of all the mountain peaks in the area.

Mountain Bike course and "Trial"

The vast woodland area in the Belles Leisure Park, on the banks of the Arly River, has been cleared for this activity, offering parents and those accompanying children a lovely shady site. Beginners can learn to ride over a track of wooden modules. For the more experienced, a free  mountain bike “trial” is open to all those who like strong emotions and where “young pros” can train.

Pushchair circuits

The circuits, indicated by specific signs (pictogram showing a couple with a stroller) allow you to walk along the banks of the Arly or to join the pretty hamlet of Cassioz, between Praz and Megève. This latter route requires an all-terrain stroller, which you can rent if necessary in one of the sports shops of the resort.

> The Arly Circuit (marked in blue): Runs along the Arly River and takes about 30 minutes. It allows access to the banks of the river, offering pleasant breaks in the shade of the trees. Families with older children can let them play by the water and enjoy the natural surroundings.

> Belles Leisure Park circuit (marked in yellow): Circuit for “All terrain”  strollers.  The yellow route is more urban and arrives at the Belles Leisure Park (loop of 40 mn). There, the little ones will love the many games (including the zip-line) and the multi-sports field.

> Cassioz Circuit (marked in green): This third stroller circuit is reserved for “all terrain” strollers. If you do not have one, they can be rented at local sports shops.
