Regular Bus Services

The village is served all year round by two regular bus routes. Tickets can be purchased directly from the driver, or online.

Sallanches (SNCF station) -> Praz sur Arly

Adult fare: One-way = 3.50€,  Return ticket = 7€

Child fare: One-way = 1.75 €, Return ticket = 3.50€

Baggage in the hold: Flat-rate of 2.00 € per article of baggage (suitcase, backpack, trunk, skis…)

Megève -> Praz sur Arly:

Adult fare: One-way = 1.50€,  Return ticket = 3€

Child fare: One-way = 0.75 €, Return ticket = 1.50€

Baggage in the hold: Flat-rate of 2.00 € per article of baggage (suitcase, backpack, trunk, skis…)

There is also the Y82 line to Chamonix. 

Chamonix -> Praz sur Arly 

Adult fare: One-way = 8€ – Return ticket = 16€

Child’s fare: One-way = 4€ – Return ticket = 8€

Train

Praz sur Arly is accessible by train via two stations. There is a regular bus service to the village leaving from Sallanches station.

SNCF Station in Sallanches (17 km): TGV/ TER Rhône-Alpes

SNCF Station in Albertville (30 km): TGV/ TER Rhône-Alpes/ CORAIL Lunéa/Thalys in the winter.

A bus service takes you from Albertville-Flumet:

Line 24 Albertville -> Flumet 

Then a taxi to Flumet-Praz-sur-Arly or take the Y83 line.

TER Bus Grenoble-> Praz sur Arly -> Chamonix

ONLY on Sundays (from 10/12/23 to 02/06/24 and 01/09/24 to 08/12/2024); and Fridays (from 15/12/23 to 07/06/24 and from 06/09 to 13/12/24)

Plane

Geneva’s International Airport is the second airport in Switzerland. It is also one of EasyJet’s main hubs. The airport is 5 km away from the city centre. It is on the A1 autoroute and there is a train service between the Geneva Main Station and the airport.

The following services are available at Geneva airport: money exchange, lost property office, tourist office, baggage deposit, restaurants, bars, VIP lounge, post office, dry cleaners, duty-free shop and car rental companies (Avis, Sixt, Europcar, Budget Rent A Car, Hertz and National).

Montenbus

The “Community of Pays du Mont-Blanc Communes” has created a new service for the population in addition to the existing transport services. In addition to the existing bus and taxi services, the public can now use the “Montenbus”, an inter-commune transport-on-request service.

How to reserve a trip

On receipt of their subscription card, members can contact Montenbus on    to reserve a trip, at the latest on the eve of the trip. A confirmation message will be sent on the eve of the trip.
It is possible to reserve a trip online up to 2 hours before the departure on www.ccpmb.fr (depending on availability of seats).
Please note, Montenbus should not be used to the detriment of existing public transport.

Membership rates

• Full rate subscription: 40 €/per person
• Yearly reduced rate subscription: 10 €/per person (under 25 years, over 70 years, unemployed, people in receipt of RSA welfare benefit, adult handicapped allowance, or invalidity pension, on presentation of a justifying document)
• Free for people with reduced mobility (on presentation of an invalidity or CDAPH incapacity card)
• Weekly subscription: 15 €/per person for occasional trips or for holidaymakers.

• From one zone to another: 2€.

Electric Cars

SYANE has a public network of charging stations in Haute-Savoie for electric and hybrid vehicles. This is intended to encourage clean mobility and contribute to quality air protection and the fight against climate change.

The Praz sur Arly terminal is accessible 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, whatever your vehicle.

Two possibilities to access the terminal:

Without a SYANE subscription:
– Online payment by smartphone or contactless credit card payment
– Roaming access via other operators

With a SYANE subscription:

– For 10€ per year, access the reduced reload rates!
