New Activities in Summer 2016
We have lots of new activities for you in Praz sur Arly this summer! Sports, art, discovery workshops, just make your choice and start preparing your summer holidays!
THE TOUR DE FRANCE!
The 103rd edition of the Tour de France will pass through Praz-sur-Arly twice:
- 22 July: the Albertville-Saint-Gervais stage
- 23 July: the Megève-Morzine stage.
The Pays du Mont-Blanc will also host the 17 km uphill time trial between Sallanches and Megève on 21 July.
THE WORLD OF DRAZ
Praz-sur-Arly’s mascot was born at the beginning of the year. He’s a friendly dragon whose name is Draz, in reference to the village legend about the Tirecorde dragon.
Draz is the hero of the second volume of the adventures of Quentin and Louis: “Le secret de la Pierre des Ceutrons” (The Secret of the Ceutrons Stone), a comic strip created by Yann Jaccaz and Myriam Bouima.
On sale at the Tourist Office and in some shops.
MOUNTAIN BIKE TOUR OF THE VAL D’ARLY
In 2 or 3 days, do the Val d’Arly Tour on an electric mountain bike. You can either use the chairlifts that are open or not to do the Praz, Flumet, La Giettaz, Les Saisies and Crest-Voland circuit. Electrical outlets to recharge your bike are foreseen on the route.

THE STRATOS EXHIBITION
These sculptures are striking in their beauty and simple modern lines. The 12 sculptures of Charles Stratos represent love and symbolize the family and the couple. Free access until 15 September.
A NEW THEME FOR THE LITERARY PATH ON THE BANKS OF THE ARLY
The group of volunteers and the inhabitants of Praz and their neighbours set up a temporary exhibition along the river that runs through the village.
The sea and fish will have pride of place this summer.
