The Christmas holidays are the perfect time to share some festive moments with friends and family! Shows, workshops, concerts and, of course, Santa Claus! Here’s our specially-prepared programme to help you spend your best holiday ever in Praz sur Arly 😉

+ Sunday 24 December 2023 from 5pm to 6pm. Meet Father Christmas and Christmas drink

Before setting off on his grand tour, Father Christmas will be stopping off in the heart of the village. Come and meet him, he’ll always have a moment for you and a few treats to offer. And don’t forget the traditional presentation of your week’s entertainment, all set to music with singer “Plum” performing Christmas favourites and pop rock! It’s also an opportunity to meet all our resort’s service providers over a welcome drink.

All the magic of Christmas in one concert! Rediscover the famous American Christmas favourites (White Christmas, Jingle Bells, Silent Night, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas…) with the SWING BELLS trio and their elf. A magical moment in the centre of the village.

Young and old alike are invited to come and enjoy the dexterity of fairy Cindy. She’ll make butterflies, fairies or a superhero appear on your face, as you wish. Inscriptions on the spot on the day.

+ Tuesday 26 December 2023 from 10am to 4pm. Break between 12pm and 2pm. Mountain discovery stand
François, a nature guide, will be offering you some original games to share with your family or friends, to discover the secrets of nature and our valleys.

+ Tuesday 26 December 2023 At 3pm Selfies for sweets!

The candy hunt is on! With family or friends, you’ll need to use the roadbook you’ll be given to find the secret spots and come back with your selfies. Are you up for the challenge?

A little boy, Célestin, wins a winter holiday in the mountains and goes to find the treasure of the friendly yeti OPOUAL.

+ Wednesday 27 December 2023 from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. All in wood – family creative workshop

Let your imagination run wild as a family during the holidays. This colourful workshop will allow you to take home your own creation. Our activity leaders will help you.

Draz, Praz sur Arly’s friendly dragon, will be out and about to meet you during the holidays. Time for cuddles and photo opportunities.

+ Thursday 28 December 2023 from 17h30 to 18h30 ESF Ski School torchlight descent
After the instructors’ torchlight descent, come and enjoy a fun moment with them and a warm drink. A torchlight descent is also available for children registered with the ESF Ski School.

+ Sunday 31 December 2023 from 5pm to 6pm New Year’s Eve welcome drink.
A presentation of your week’s activities! It’s also an opportunity to meet our resort’s service providers over a welcome drink.

To ring in the New Year together, the Church Square will be transformed into a gigantic open-air dance floor. Refreshments on site and fireworks at midnight (visible from the village centre)!

+ Monday 1 January 2024 from 4pm to 6pm. Grand Ice Carving Show
Nicolas Gombert, a professional chainsaw sculptor, invites you to come and admire his art in action. He will be creating 2 ephemeral works in ice.

Célestin is an Olympic ski champion. He flies in a rocket to Mars to represent Earth. He becomes champion of the universe among the Martians and returns convinced that space is the future of mankind.

The village square will be transformed into a huge dance floor for children and parents. Come and dance to the sounds of today as you follow our dancer Monika.

A unique show of storytelling and juggling. Elaéra and Polo the acrobat will transport you to an enchanted world. Listen to mountain legends performed by a professional juggler. For young and old alike!

What’s new this winter and entertainment

The winter season starts soon! The Espace Diamant Ski Area will open from Saturday 23 December 2023 to Friday 5 April 2024. It will offer snowtubing (rubber tyres on the snow) at the foot of the Praz-sur-Arly slopes and a new Verdets ski left at Les Saisies.

The winter will see the completion of the Saint-Victor Chalets, with the first shop opening at Christmas, a delicatessen and a second shop for l’Epicurie after Megève. This will be a major milestone in the Town Centre project.

At the same time, at the Flumet entrance to the village, Yoann DEBRAY will be opening a La Choco outlet, also a laboratory, to add to his bakeries/pastry shops/chocolateries in Megève and Les Saisies. He will be offering workshops on chocolate, also known as “brown gold”.

During the season, 3 new events will be added to the programme in January 2024: the 1st Mountain Aerology and Weather Week; the 1st White Trail; and the 1st Raclette at the Summit to break a world record for tasting the famous cheese!
